Happy Today!

One week out from Christmas and it seems a struggle to get in the holiday spirit. Between the consistency of inconsistent weather, the flu making its way through each of my three children, holiday school events and work demands – the joy of the holiday hasn’t reached my spirit.

School is out for my Win on Wednesday and then I know I will be overcome with the infectious spirit of kids’ holiday joy. This week we will watch holiday movies, bake cookies, listen to carols and start shopping. Then it will feel like Christmas.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Santa baby is on his way!

And All I want for Christmas is you!

While me, the adult, is ready for the time off that comes with the holidays. I understand that this time of year is about more than me and that thought helps push joy into the day.

Til next time,

“Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we’re here for something else besides ourselves.” – Eric Sevareid
