You are almost to the the end of the first quarter of 2017 and by now many people have given up on the enthusiasm the new Year brings. Gym parking lots are beginning to have open spaces again while people begin to get back to the familiar and comfortable. Giving up on change and losing hope of progress since action sometimes makes them uncomfortable.
Keyboards are collecting dust since the next great novel remains locked away in someone’s head who has given up on moving the words from thought to paper. That person begins to think that maybe the world has a few to many stories like they one they were planning to write. This reasoning makes it easier to give up.
In each scenario, lack of consistent application towards the steps required to ensure the desired outcome associated with a change of habits. “TIME IS A MASTER WORKER THAT HEALS THE WOUNDS OF TEMPORARY DEFEAT, AND EQUALIZES THE INEQUALITIES AND RIGHTS THE WRONGS OF THE WORLD. THERE IS NOTHING “IMPOSSIBLE” WITH TIME!” That is the opening quote from the Introductory chapter – The Master Mind.
This is a long chapter with scientific information co-mingled with strategies for success. It took me a few tries to get through reading the entire chapter as I wanted to ensure I didn’t miss anything impactful or notable. Below are my picks as the quotes of impact.

“Success is very largely a matter of adjusting one’s self to the ever-varying and changing environments of life, in a spirit of harmony and poise.”
“The most successful men and women on earth have had to correct certain weak spots in their personalities before they began to succeed.”
“”Master Mind,” meaning a mind that is developed through the harmonious co-operation of two or more people who ally themselves for the purpose of accomplishing any given task.”
“People buy personalities as much as merchandise, and it is a question if they are not influenced more by the personalities with which they come in contact than they are by the merchandise.”
“Success, is “the attainment of your Definite Chief Aim without violating the rights of other people.”

“You cannot become a power in your community not achieve enduring success in any worthy undertaking until you become big enough to blame yourself for your own mistakes and reverses.”
“Never in the history of the world, has there been such abundant opportunity as there is now for the person who is willing to serve before trying to collect.”
“Power grows out of ORGANIZED KNOWLEDGE, but, mind you, it “grows out of it” through application and use!”
“Seek the counsel of men who will tell you the truth about yourself, even if it hurts you to hear it. Mere commendation will not bring the improvement you need.”
“Education-let us not forget this-consists of the power with which to get everything one needs when he needs it, without violating the rights of his fellow men.”

Til next time,
