New Year, New Book Recommendation

Happy 2016!

I am pleased to see 2016 arrive with the health and safety of my family and friends in tact.  Health and happiness are the only things I feel that I have any real control of so those are my focus areas for this new year.  I don’t make resolutions and I already have too many goals that I am working on so focusing on these two areas is my way of ensuring that my mind is centered on things that are important to me.

As I look at things that could help me ensure continued health and happiness, I decided that now would be a great opportunity to begin a new joint reading venture.  I looked in many places for inspiration regarding selections that would align with the theme which was created by the previous book selections and I think this title fits right in with th journey we have been on together.  Plus it is a classic book that has been on my read next lost for a year now.

The best way to introduce this selection is to provide you with a few of my favorite quotes from the introduction.  There is something about a new book that fills me with joy just like the smell of a new car, new house and new baby.  Without further commentary from me, here are my favorite quotes from How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie:
